Mission Statement

To assist in developing the Navajo Nation's disease surveillance system and identifying the highest priority health objectives based on epidemiologic data:

(1) collection, analysis and interpretation of health data, and its application to public health practice honoring spiritual and cultural values;

(2) study the risk of disease, and the development and application of methods to alleviate risk.

To contribute to the wellness of the Navajo people by monitoring and reporting on health data, providing disease surveillance and technical assistance.

Navajo Population Profile

The Navajo Population Profile aims to provide an accurate picture of the Navajo population throughout the United States and to identify  target or at risk sub-population(s) when assessing the health status of the Navajo people. The goal is to improve the health status of the Navajo people on the Navajo Nation, in border towns, metropolitan areas, and throughout the United States. To view full report click here...
